Terms and Conditions (“T&C”)
Scope of the Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (T&C) apply to Magic Escape Island Kft. (2244 Úri, Hold Street 10), hereinafter referred to as the Service Provider, and to all persons who use the services of Magic Escape Island (referred to as “Player”).
Deviation from the Terms and Conditions
Magic Escape Island will only provide services under conditions that differ from this T&C if a separate written agreement is concluded. In the event of a conflict between this T&C and a separate written agreement, the latter shall prevail. For matters not regulated in the separate agreement, this T&C shall apply.
Subject of the Terms and Conditions
The subject of this T&C is the provision of services by Magic Escape Island, namely the organization of escape island games and related activities, with special attention to the following:
I. Booking
Bookings can be made through www.magicescapeisland.com or via email in the case of large groups or technical issues.
By booking, the Player accepts the T&C.
Real personal data must be provided during booking.
A confirmation email will be sent upon successful booking.
The booking ID may be requested on-site.
All bookings are final, and the paid deposit is non-refundable. However, if cancellation is made at least 24 hours prior to the game, the deposit may be transferred to a new date.
Cancellations or rescheduling must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.
In case of a 5-minute delay, the game timer starts.
Magic Escape Island reserves the right to cancel or reschedule games due to maintenance or changes. Booked dates may be canceled or changed with prior notice.
Optional Programs and Weather Conditions
The Service Provider may cancel optional programs if the minimum number of participants is not reached. In such cases, prepaid fees will be refunded.
Notification of cancellation will be given at least 168 hours prior to the scheduled start.
In adverse weather conditions, Treasure Hunt, Escape, and Adventure Island programs may be canceled or postponed to ensure safety and quality. In such cases, only the program fee is refundable; accommodation and travel costs are not.
II. Payment
Game prices are listed on www.magicescapeisland.com.
Payments can be made by credit card, PayPal, SimplePay, or bank transfer.
No refund will be issued for no-shows, cancellations, or schedule changes within 24 hours.
Only one discount can be used per game. Discounts cannot be combined.
III. Participation in the Game
Games are tailored for groups of 2-10 people. Groups are not merged with others unless specifically requested.
The “Win Your Life” game can accommodate up to 30 people.
Game duration on the main location (uninhabited or resort island) is up to 90 minutes. Related tasks at the resort may span several days.
Comfortable clothing is recommended.
All players must attend a brief orientation and cooperate with staff.
Games may involve mental stress and physical activity, including standing, crawling, climbing, etc.
Participation is at the player’s own risk. Not recommended for those with certain health conditions.
Only adults may participate independently. Minors require a signed statement from a legal guardian.
Children under 4 enter free (max. 2 per group, max group size 10). No pets allowed.
Intoxicated or disruptive individuals may be excluded.
Players must comply with the resort’s rules and safety regulations.
Feedback emails may be sent after the game.
Players must:
Use equipment properly.
Avoid restricted areas.
Report hazards or injuries immediately.
Cooperate with staff.
Follow instructions at all times.
IV. Copyright and Confidentiality
All games are copyrighted works.
Recording (photo, video, audio) is prohibited, except in designated areas.
Players must not disclose game details to third parties.
V. Liability
Players are responsible for damages resulting from breach of this T&C.
Magic Escape Island’s liability is limited to HUF 100,000 or the actual damage, whichever is lower.
No liability for indirect damages, loss of profit, or third-party claims.
Players must cooperate in case of insurance claims.
Magic Escape Island is not liable for damages caused by another player.
Players must compensate damages caused by misuse of equipment or violation of rules.
VI. Data Protection
Magic Escape Island has a privacy policy available at https://magicescapeisland.com/adatvedelem/
Surveillance cameras may be used at the game locations.
VII. Miscellaneous
Matters not regulated by this T&C are subject to Hungarian law.
Legal disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of Hungarian courts.
